Horses, Hikes, and Happy Faces

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the past month or so:

Lucy and EJ were thrilled to decorate our little tree all on their own.

This shows EJ's confident stance during his preschool Christmas program.

EJ chose to be an angel for the nativity songs in his preschool program.

We spent time with my mom and her husband, Jay, while visiting Lancaster for Christmas.

Lucy (wearing a riding helmet) enjoyed riding cousin Ariel's horse on Christmas Eve.

Aunt Heidi regularly rides horses with Joy.

After a while in the cold at the horses with Cousin Joy, Prince Hal (and the other boys) preferred the warm van with snacks and a video.

The kids enacted the nativity on Christmas Eve.

Here's my Dad with all his kids but Wendy, who is in Okinawa (see Blair Chronicles).

EJ got Legos for Christmas and has shown he has real talent for following directions for building with them. He says thanks to Grandpa Hart and Aunt Holly.

After Christmas, Lucy had a grand time with cousins
Sandra and Katherine who visited from Utah.

New Year's Day, EJ and Lucy hiked to the top of Wind Cave Trail at Usery Mountain with Mom.

Lucy has recently lost two teeth.
